BlockBundle Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
BlockBundle is operated by AI Business Consulting LLC, doing business as BlockBundle ("BlockBundle," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use blockbundle.app and related services (the "Services"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Please read it alongside our Terms of Use.
BlockBundle is a marketplace for neighborhood home services such as lawn mowing, gutter cleaning, and snow removal. You book as an individual. As more nearby homes book the same provider, the shared trip cost can fall and your price can improve. Independent providers perform the physical work. We are not their employer, and we do not perform the lawn, gutter, snow, or other home services ourselves.
This policy describes the Services as they work today, including instant quotes, bookings, payments, provider matching, and neighbor-invite links. If we add a new data practice (for example text messaging or a third-party advertising tag), we will update this policy before that practice goes live.
The short version
| Topic | In short |
|---|---|
| What we collect | Your name and email; your service address and property measurements (lawn outlines, driveway / hardscape polygons, walkway / sidewalk centerlines, and a property-map image); booking, payment, and account-setup records; provider business details if you register as a provider; and basic technical and attribution data. |
| Why | To quote a price, match you with independent providers, process payment, operate and improve the marketplace, and send service emails. |
| Who we share it with | Independent providers (and, in uncovered areas, local operators we invite to join) so they can quote and perform work; and companies that run payments, maps, hosting, and email for us. We do not sell your personal information. |
| What providers do not get | Your email address. Quote emails to providers include the service address, measured area (lawn, driveway, and walkway as applicable), and the property-map image only. |
| Payments | Stripe processes cards. We store a Stripe customer id, a payment-method id, and card brand/last four digits. We do not store full card numbers. |
| Texts | We do not send SMS today. We contact you by email. |
| Your choices | Email legal@blockbundle.app to ask for access, correction, or deletion. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails. Transactional emails about a quote or booking will still arrive. |
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- homeowners and visitors who request a quote, create an account, or book a service;
- service providers who register, are sourced by our outreach, or receive a quote request;
- anyone who emails us, submits in-app feedback, or otherwise contacts us.
The Services are intended for use in the United States.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
Quote and booking. When you request a quote you give us your email address, a service address, the service you want, and (when you use the tool) the outlines you draw on a map. For lawn services we use a lawn outline, or a satellite estimate if you do not draw, to compute lawn square footage and a price. For snow removal we also use driveway / hardscape polygons to compute paved area, and walkway / sidewalk centerlines to compute billed length (the map may show those paths at a display width; we bill the centerline length, not that display area).
Account setup. Before you can use the rest of the product, we ask for your full name, a confirmation that you are authorized to arrange services for that property or business, and your acceptance of the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. We store the time of those acceptances.
Homeowner account. We keep the name, email, service address, ZIP, property location, and saved property geometry associated with your account, including driveway and walkway traces you draw, plus your bookings, cancellations, and any deficiency or dispute reports you submit.
Payment method. If you add a card, you enter it in Stripe's form in your browser. We receive a token from Stripe and store Stripe identifiers and a card brand and last four digits so we can charge for completed services, cancellation fees, and refunds as described in the Terms. We do not receive or store the full card number.
Provider registration. If you register as a provider we collect business name, contact name, email, phone, website, headquarters address and map coordinates, the service-area polygons you draw, the services you offer, and your structured pricing (a trip / route component and a property-area component). We do not currently collect license, insurance, or background-check documents, and we do not verify those credentials.
Feedback and email. If you send in-app feedback or email us, we keep the message, the optional reply-to address you provide, your role if you are signed in, and the page you sent it from.
Earlier waitlist or interest signups. Some visitors previously joined a waitlist, and a leftover signup path still accepts email, address or ZIP, role, referral notes, and similar fields. We still store those records. A quote request also writes a demand record in the same store (email, address or ZIP, requested service, and measured area for lawn, driveway, and walkway, as applicable).
2.2 Information we generate or obtain
Property measurements and maps. We geocode your address, place it on a map, and generate property measurements and a property-map image that overlays the traces you confirmed (lawn, driveway / hardscape, and walkway / sidewalk) on satellite imagery. Walkway paths are stored as centerlines. The map may draw them at a fixed display width so you can see the path; that width is a display aid, not a survey and not the billed quantity. These measurements are estimates for pricing and quoting, not a survey.
Quotes, match results, and coverage. We record which providers cover the property, the quoted price, whether the area was uncovered, and the county we resolve from the map point. We use county-level counts (not individual homes) on the public provider coverage map.
Payments and payouts. We record charges, refunds, cancellation-fee attempts, and provider payouts that Stripe processes for us.
Magic-link sign-in. We email you a one-time sign-in link and store a short-lived login token until you use it or it expires.
2.3 Information collected automatically
When you use the site we and our hosting provider receive standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps, and referring URL. We use IP address for security and rate-limiting (for example on feedback). CloudFront access logs may include the URL of first-party analytics beacons.
We also store, in your browser's local storage (not as cookies):
bb_attr: a first-touch record of landing path, referrer host, and campaign tags;bb_cta: the last signup or quote call-to-action tag we saw.
See Section 7 for cookies.
2.4 Information about providers we source
We build a list of local operators from public and outreach sources so we can invite them to join and to quote uncovered jobs. That list can include business name, contact name, email, phone, website, described coverage area, ZIP list, and notes about the source. This is business-contact information, not a claim that we have vetted the operator.
2.5 Information we do not collect today
We do not currently:
- send SMS or otherwise collect mobile-number consent for text messages;
- collect Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, or government id;
- collect license, insurance, or background-check records;
- run a third-party advertising or analytics tag on blockbundle.app (none in the application, and none injected at the CDN or host);
- show other homeowners your name, email, or exact property on a public participation map.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- generate a property-specific quote and show you a price;
- create and administer your account;
- match quote requests with covering providers, or find local operators when an area is uncovered;
- let providers quote and, if you book, perform the service at your address;
- process payments, refunds, cancellation fees, and provider payouts;
- email you quote and property-map messages, sign-in links, booking updates, and neighbor-invite copy you can forward;
- email providers (and sourced operators) the information they need to quote;
- alert our operations team to new demand in a region;
- measure how the site is used, in a first-party, non-identifying way;
- keep the Services secure, prevent abuse, and debug problems;
- honor legal requests and enforce our Terms;
- improve pricing, coverage, and the product.
We do not use your information to train public generative-AI models.
4. How we share information
4.1 Independent providers and local operators
When you request a quote, we email covering providers on the Platform. If no covering provider is registered yet, we may also email independent local operators we have identified in your area so they can join BlockBundle and quote the job.
Those emails include:
- the service address;
- measured or estimated area (lawn square footage, driveway / hardscape area, and walkway length, as applicable);
- the property-map image (your traces over satellite imagery).
They do not include your email address or payment information. Providers reply and coordinate through BlockBundle.
If you book, the matched provider also needs the service address and property details to do the work. They are independent businesses. Their own handling of information you give them on site is their responsibility.
4.2 Neighbor invites you choose to send
If you invite a neighbor, we give you a link and a suggested message. The link includes your service address so the neighbor's quote form can be pre-filled. We do not send that invitation for you. Anyone you share the link with can see the address in it. You are responsible for who you send it to.
4.3 Companies that help us operate the Services
| Company | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment methods, charges, refunds, and payouts. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's form and tokenized by Stripe. |
| Google Maps Platform | Address lookup, interactive maps (quote, lawn tool, coverage map, provider headquarters), and related location services. Google may collect data when its maps load, under Google's own privacy policy. |
| Esri | Satellite imagery used in the property-map tool and in emailed property-map images. Requesting a map tile or export tells Esri which map area is needed. |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting, content delivery, logs, and database storage. |
| Amazon SES | Delivery of transactional and operational email. |
These companies process information on our instructions to provide their service, except where they also process data as independent controllers under their own policies (in particular Google Maps and Esri imagery requests, and Stripe's payment processing).
We also keep copies of transactional and outreach emails in our operations records so we can support customers, audit sends, and run the marketplace.
4.4 Legal, safety, and business transfers
We may share information if we believe we must to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of BlockBundle, our users, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. If that kind of transfer happens, this policy will still apply to the information until you are notified otherwise.
4.5 We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use a third-party advertising pixel or tag on blockbundle.app today.
If that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, offer a "Do Not Sell or Share" choice before the new practice goes live.
5. Property data and neighborhood visibility
Your address, map coordinates, lawn outline, driveway / hardscape polygons, walkway / sidewalk centerlines, and property-map image are detailed information about a specific home. Walkway traces can show how a person walks up to the house. We treat them as operational data needed to quote and perform a service, not as content to publish.
What is visible today:
- You and the providers / operators we email about your quote see the service address, the measured area, and the property-map image (including driveway and walkway overlays when you drew them).
- A neighbor you invite sees the address in the link you forward.
- The public
/providerscoverage map shows county-level status and provider counts. It does not show individual homes or addresses. That map is on the provider page, not the homeowner landing page.
We do not operate a live map that shows other homeowners which exact house next door has booked.
6. Payments
Homeowners pay BlockBundle. BlockBundle pays the provider. Stripe is our payment processor.
When you save a card, Stripe creates a customer and payment-method record. We store the Stripe ids plus brand and last four digits. We use them to charge for services, to collect a cancellation fee when the Terms allow it, and to issue refunds.
Stripe's privacy policy applies to the information Stripe holds as a payment processor. You can review it at stripe.com/privacy.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage keys.
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
bb_session | First-party cookie | Keeps you signed in to the marketplace. HttpOnly and required for the account to work. |
bb_admin | First-party cookie | Signs our operations staff into the internal console. Not set for ordinary users. |
bb_attr | Local storage | First-touch attribution (landing path, referrer host, campaign tags) so we can understand how people find BlockBundle. |
bb_cta | Local storage | The most recent quote or signup button you clicked. |
These are not advertising cookies.
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser.
If you block bb_session, you will not stay signed in.
When we show a Google map, Google's scripts may set their own cookies or collect device and usage data. That is governed by Google's policies, not by the table above.
8. Analytics
We record first-party product events (for example, that a quote or feedback action happened) with the event name, the page path, a timestamp, and non-identifying properties such as which button was clicked.
That beacon goes to our own /api/analytics endpoint and is also pushed to a window.dataLayer object in the browser so we could connect a vendor later.
Today, no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta, or other advertising or analytics vendor is wired to that data layer, and none is injected on the live site by the CDN or host. We do not use those events to identify you across other websites.
9. Communications
Email we send. We email you when you request a quote (quote and property-map emails, sign-in link, neighbor-invite copy), when your account or booking needs attention, and when we reply to feedback you asked us to answer. Provider-facing emails are described in Section 4.1.
Marketing email. If we send marketing email, we will include an unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about a quote, booking, payment, or account.
SMS and phone. We do not send SMS or automated phone messages today. If we add text messaging, we will update this policy and collect any consent the law requires before we send marketing texts.
Your invitations. If you copy a neighbor-invite message into your own text or email app, that message is sent by you, not by BlockBundle. Send it only to people who will welcome it.
10. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it to operate the marketplace, to complete bookings and payments, to handle disputes, chargebacks, and tax or legal obligations, and to understand demand in a region.
We do not currently run automated deletion. If you want information deleted, email legal@blockbundle.app. We will honor verified requests as required by law, unless we must keep a record (for example a payment, a dispute, or a legal hold).
Backup copies and server logs may take additional time to expire.
11. Your choices and privacy rights
You may:
- update account information by signing in or emailing us;
- request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold;
- close your account by emailing us;
- unsubscribe from marketing email;
- clear cookies and local storage in your browser.
Email legal@blockbundle.app to make a request. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to know what we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context advertising, and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising (see Section 4.5). If you are an authorized agent, we will need proof of your authority. We will respond as the applicable law requires.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you for advertising.
12. Children
The Services are for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have, email legal@blockbundle.app and we will delete it.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including signed session cookies, access controls on the operations console, and Stripe-hosted card entry so full card numbers never touch our servers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Where we operate
We operate in the United States. Our hosting and subprocessors may process information in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where the law may differ from the law where you live.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice that is reasonable in the circumstances (for example a notice on the site or an email). If the law or our Terms require a new acceptance, we will ask for it.
